How to benefit from fruit

Fundamentally, we are used to eating fruits for dessert and drinking fruit juices after meals, not realizing that we are harming ourselves by doing so.

Fruits eaten after the main meal come into contact with it and begin to ferment and sour. Therefore, it is recommended to take a break after eating for 2 to 5 hours, depending on what you ate (how difficult the food was to digest).

It is best to eat fruits for breakfast (on an empty stomach, by the way, in this case they stimulate the body), before lunch and in between meals, or literally 20-30 minutes before meals. In general, it is good to start any meal with fruit. When you eat them on an empty stomach 30 minutes before meals, it contributes, firstly, to weight loss, secondly, all vitamins are absorbed to the maximum, thirdly, after fruit you will eat less regular, unhealthy food, which again will have a beneficial effect on health.

Here are some tips to help you get the most out of fruits:

  • Don’t eat fruit on a full stomach. You can eat at any time of the day, but not after meals.
  • After you eat some fruit, wait twenty to thirty minutes before eating anything else.
  • It is healthier to eat fruits in the first half of the day. They will smoothly increase blood sugar levels and “wake up” the digestive system after a night’s sleep.
  • Do not eat fruits with difficult-to-digest foods (fatty, starchy and protein foods).
  • Bananas and avocados are heavy foods, so it’s best not to eat them at night. It is best to eat them as an afternoon meal when your digestive system is ready for them and has time to digest them.
  • Whenever possible, choose fresh fruit or frozen. There is no question of canned ones at all – they contain a lot of refined sugar, and often chemical additives, and at the same time lose almost all of their beneficial properties.
