Wonderful readers of my blog! Today I want to share a recipe for an unusual treat that combines natural ingredients and the incredible color from spirulina. This delicacy will not only delight your palate, but will also benefit your body due to the content of minerals and vitamins.
Ingredients:
- Sunflower seeds: 100 gr.
- Dates: 100 gr.
- Spirulina: 1 tsp.
Preparation:
- Grind the seeds in a blender to obtain a powder and mix thoroughly with spirulina.
- Mash the dates to a paste. If they are too dry, you can pre-soak them in warm water.
- Add date paste to the mixture of seeds and spirulina and mix thoroughly.
For additional zest and beautiful presentation, you can sprinkle the finished halva with sesame seeds.
A note about spirulina:
Spirulina is an incredibly healthy microalgae rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals. For best absorption, it is recommended to consume it by mixing it with water or adding it to smoothies with fruits and vegetables. While combining spirulina with nuts or seeds in recipes like our halva may not be an ideal daily option for eating spirulina, these treats can be a great choice for special occasions or festive moments.
