Pine Nut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • pine nuts – 1 cup
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp.
  • water 3-5 tsp (more so it blends better in the blender)
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • lemon – 2 slices with peel
  • salt – 1/2 tsp. or as desired
  • cayenne pepper – 1/4 tsp.
  • turmeric – 1/4 tsp. (for color)
  • greens (parsley, basil, dill) – optional

Preparation:

1. Soak the nuts for 2 hours, rinse.
2. Chop the greens. Mix all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
Serve with your favorite vegetables. Stored in the refrigerator for no longer than 5 days.
